To make this, you will need:
- $100 dollars worth of brand new crisp $2 bills. It is easier than you may think to acquire these. Go to the largest bank in your area and simply ask the teller to exchange $100 for 50 crisp new $2 bills. If they don't have them on hand, then they should be able to order them for you. I went to the largest Wells Fargo branch in San Francisco for my $2 bills and the teller didn't even seem to flinch when I made this request. - Rubber cement - (x3) 0.08" x 2.61" x 6.19" chipboards - 2 to 3 quick release clamps Read More

A single toilet flush uses about 3 gallons (13.5 Liters) of potable water. This project re-routs the fresh water that fills the toilet tank through a hand washing sink, filling the tank with grey water for the next flush and saving the water you would have used to wash your hands separately. Why use water you could drink to flush a toilet? This is a huge waste of a precious resource, especially in the epic drought we're experiencing in California. This project is a way to save water in style, using a plastic coated Plyboo sink and sleek faucet by Moen. Read More As an artist working with various forms of technology, I often find myself imagining creations just out of my reach technologically. My sculpture Blink is a perfect example. I first thought of this piece several years ago but various problems – like how to make working eyelids – forced this project into mental storage. After seeing this similar Instructable, I was inspired to make a self-enclosed version. This project doesn't require any soldering skills and is perfect for a beginner. The book lamp is surprisingly bright and can be used as as (surprise!) a reading light.

Handmade, personalized neckties are a great accessory and an awesome gift. Traditional fabric ties are a bit complicated to make, but this DIY leather version is easy, customizable, and requires no sewing! I made these two ties in about 6 hours, and I didn't even have this excellent Instructable to guide me. To give the ties their unique look, I stamped them with ordinary objects I found in our shop, in this case I literally used nuts and bolts. I really liked taking these objects out of their usual context and using them to create interesting textures. You could use any number of different objects to make your ties unique and personalized, and figuring out what will make a good stamp is half the fun. http://www.instructables.com/id/Leather-Neckties/
